Tottenham Hotspur fans believe that Harry Kane has once and for all proved that he was never a one-season wonder.

The England international first caught the eye at Spurs in the 2014-15  campaign when he scored 21 Premier League goals in 34 appearances.

In the following season, Kane continued to improve and nabbed the Golden Boot with 25 top-flight goals.

There were still doubts about whether he could be considered among the elite, but now he has established himself as one of the best in the division by taking the Golden Boot for a second consecutive year after scoring 29 goals.

The achievement is even more impressive given that he spent two spells on the sidelines with serious injuries, limiting him to 30 league appearances.

Kane ended the season with four more goals than Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, while Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez was third in the list on 24 league strikes.

The Spurs star’s hat-trick in a 7-1 thumping over relegated Hull City on the final day of the season increased his tally.

Kane’s goals helped Tottenham secure second place – their highest ever finish in the division.
