  Africa Foot claimsthat Newcastle have made contact with the player's entourage but are yet to get into 'serious negotiations' with Nice. The report adds that while Tottenham talks are 'slowing down', Villarreal is having regular conversations with the French outfit about the Ivory Coast international.

  Guessand, who has also been linked with Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce, is reportedly set to leave Nice this summer but his next move remains uncertain. This comes at a time when Tottenham are trying and failing to sign Morgan Gibbs White, with Nottingham Forest refusing to sanction the England international's move. Spurs could be in line for a summer of frustration in the transfer market.
